An irate viewer Emailed me recently complaining bitterly about a YouTube link to a young lady who speaks her mind about the war. He fumed that those troops are over there fighting to give her the right to talk sh*t, to keep us free, yada, yada. I hear that all the time. "Our troops are fighting to keep us free" "Our troops are fighting so you have the right to talk all this ****." WRONG The Constitution is what's supposed to "keep us free" and the First Ten Amendments state very clearly what our rights and freedoms are. That's why it's called, "The Bill of Rights." The First Amendment guarantees us Freedom of Speech. Sending our troops to fight on the other side of the world does NOTHING to effect our freedom or right to speak our minds. Our written Constitution does that (at least it's supposed to). Next time you hear some rich, bought-and-paid-for-by-bankers-and-industry politician tell you our troops are fighting "to keep us free" just Google "US Constitution". Telling us our troops are killing Iraqis to "keep us free" is a lame excuse to KEEP them there. It's propaganda. Now that I've pointed this out, do you realize that our WRITTEN CONSTITUTION "keeps us free" and not the troops in Iraq? Empty propagandistic slogans and other Orwellian "Duck Speak" do not stand up to critical thought and analysis. I left a few of last months rants here. Because the Bill of Rights says I can. Sunday, October 28, 2007 "Support Our Troops" USA WTF does that mean? For those of you unfamiliar with "Web speak," 'WTF' means, 'What the [heck]' So wtf does that 'Patriotic' vomitus MEAN? Who WOULDN'T 'support our troops'? OK, but HOW do we support them? Sent them jock straps and 'underwire bras'?? Keep them there until they get shot full of holes? Talk nice abut them? They hear nothing of what's going on back home, nor do we hear anything about what's really going on THERE, especially after the DOD banned our troops from posting videos on YouTube and all the other video sharing Websites this past May.  1.22MB ABC News Clip from May 14, 2007 So WHAT does "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" mean? It means nothing. Propaganda does not aim for the INTELLECT; in fact, rational, intelligent analysis and thought will destroy the effectiveness of propaganda. Propaganda needs to appeal to our knee-jerk EMOTIONAL responses, bypassing critical thought entirely. Remember just after the 911 attack how we were all infuriated by video of Arabs dancing and celebrating in the street of Lebanon or some damn place? Turns out the video shown to us on the TV news was SIX MONTHS OLD, from an unrelated celebration. But nobody seemed to notice or care, even AFTER some wise guy revealed it to the nation. Next time you see an image or a video on TV, count to ten before exploding in anger or shock, fear or emotional agony. THINK. Ask yourself, "WHEN was this video made? WHO made it? Is this video even related to the story we were told? LOOK CLOSELY for inconsistencies, like a LEFT HANDED Osama writing and eating with his RIGHT HAND and wearing a GOLD RING which is forbidden by Islamic law as a 'vain adornment'. ASK yourself, "Are they trying to play US for fools - AGAIN?" Friday, October 12, 2007 Someone leaked the new video of a black-bearded bin Laden threatening us. That tipped off Al Qaeda that their secret network had been compromized and they shut it all down. Now our intelligence gathering is back to square one and Al-Qaeda is once more shrouded in secrecy. BULL SHIITE! Osama bin Laden DYED his gray beard black? That is VANITY abnd is strictly forbidden by Islamic law, just as the GOLD RING Osama wore in that bogus "Smoking Gun" video following 911. Also in that video a LEFT HANDED bin Laden was writing with his right hand. Read the freakin' FBI "Wanted Poster" on him. "LEFT HANDED". They're frightening us like little children. "Oh, my God! Al Qaeda is gonna GET us! Blah-dee freakin blah..." It's easier for us to accept that our government is stupid and incompetent (well at least our PRESIDENT is) than to realize that its all smoke and mirrors. Osama bin Laden was undergoing KIDNEY DIALYSIS treatments in 2001. That means FINAL STAGES of KIDNEY DISEASE. Now he's strong, healthy and robust, running around in the mountains of Pakistan playing "Where's Waldo" with us. duh Osama bin Laden DIED six years ago. Our society is so saturated by media 'entertainment' that most of us are too distracted to PAY ATTENTION and REMEMBER all the crap they shovel at us through the "news". we don't THINK. A society that THINKS and critically analyzes what their government/news media tells them is very hard to control. And given that most Americans are absorbed by their favorite, silly TV shows or watching some girl shake her butt on YouTube, the people who feed us this sloppy propaganda need not fear that a large enough portion of us will wake up and say, WTF?! A dumb, ignorant population is good for government and the bankers and industries that control it. Here's the TRUTH: Al-Qaeda does not exist. It's a fairy tale run by a man who died six years ago. We are not fighting "terrorists" in Iraq. We're fighting the Iraqi Resistance Forces. But it's easier to think our government are a bunch of idiots rather than the other way around. Hey, who do you want for "Dancing With the Sluts"?? And did you SEE last night's "Despicable Housewives"??? How could they DO that on TV?? |
