The Target commercial below PROBABLY contains subliminals in the near infrared.
Since I cannot -consciously- perceive infrared light, it's their word against mine.

Notice the beginning of the car commercial that follows.
Red, again.
Advertisers most likely cooperate with one another to ensure profits for all.
It's long been known that the major manufacturers engage in "cooperative Capitalism" although they deny it.
Such a cabal would be a serious anti-trust violation.

Whenever you see a commercial that's predominently red or blue/violet, rest assured you are being subbed with near infrared or near ultraviolet, respectively.
You cannot consciously see images or words in these light frequencies but your subconscious does.
Luckily infrared subliminals are not used very much yet, because, frankly, an all red commercial is annoying.
Blues, purples and violets seem to be less annoying.
Near Infrared is probably more effective because the subconscious seems to respond better to stimuli that are below, rather than above, the perceptual thresh hold.
