Late Wednesday Night, February 28, 2007 The recent Stock market "correction" was not a random event brought about by market conditions. Stock market booms, recessions and depressions are PLANNED events. "Insiders" like the Rothschild banking family and their allies use such tactics to fleece small and mid size investors. If you haven't seen it already, click here for 'Bank Job.' Stock market crashes do not cause depressions. The FED causes depressions and recessions by raising the Interest Rate and 'contracting' the money supply. Watch what the FED does with the Interest Rate. Nowadays they usually raise it just a few percentage points at a time, but multiple times to cause recessions. If the market takes another downturn they will likely use it as a pretext to raise the Interest Rate drastically, probably in several increments in order to "sneak up" on us. Like frogs in a slowly heated beaker of water, the majority of the population doesn't notice relatively slow trends until they're cooked. Then the true culprits turn our attention to scape goats and/or confuse us with deliberately complex and misleading "voodoo economics" jargon. Don't be deceived. PAY ATTENTION to any and all increases the FED makes to the Interest Rate. Mark them down on a piece of paper and add them up. 3, 4, or 7 small increases add up to a big Interest hike. People default on their loans and they lose their homes and small businesses. The banks snap up property for pennies on the dollar. Home mortgage defaults are sharply increasing. People all across America are losing their homes and businesses at an alarming rate. We don't hear much about this because then we might notice that the water in our beaker is getting hot. We might even figure out who's turning up the heat, how they're doing it and most importantly, WHY Most people never truly understand that they were deliberately set up and robbed by their local bank that is simply a branch of the privately owned central bank, the FED and that some Rothschild Fat Cat just dropped their home or 'Mom and Pop' store into his pocket like so many nickels and dimes. They keep us entertained, distracted, confused, misinformed. Overworked, underpaid, worried about the bills, desperate, exhausted. Most of all, they keep us mentally lazy, apathetic and ignorant. We're easy prey when we allow ourselves to be stupid. The Great Depression was not caused by the stock market crash; the crash was used as a smoke screen by the Federal Reserve (FED) to plunge us into financial calamity by raising the Interest Rate by more than 30%. Recessions and depressions are just schemes to rob the average Joe of his property. Again, the FED is a private bank. The Rothschild banking dynasty is the majority shareholder. Tuesday Morning, February 27, 2007  1.53MB Video Clip Bob Woodruff has implied that the numbers of Traumatic Brain Injuries in Iraq have gone vastly under reported. In other words, they're lying to us. Still. As many as 150,000 of our troops may have come home with severe brain injury so far. Unlike Mr. Woodruff, who's a rich celebrity, the care given most of our injured soldiers is total crap. What does that say about us? What does it say about our government? In fact, many of our soldiers come home to discover large bills in the mail from Uncle Sam charging them for lost or damaged equipment. If that happened to me I'd be arrested when I stormed the VA and rammed the letter up some petty bureaucrat's [place where the sun don't shine]. -- Unless I was paralyzed and/or suffering from severe Traumatic Brain Injury. Then my family would have to deal with this insult heaped upon injury. Disgusting. So what are the TRUE numbers of killed and wounded? I bet if the truth about just that alone were made known there would be riots in our streets. Friday Morning, February 23, 2007  527KB Video Clip Mr. Cheney doesn't question Ms. Pelosi's Patriotism. He questions her judgement. I don't question the Patriotism of my fellow Americans. I question your judgement. First off, Cheney questions House Speaker Pelosi's judgement against the backdrop of a video clip that's been shown to us repeatdly since 2005 or earlier! CLICK HERE A basic tenet of propaganda is to stick with a few core messages and repeat them endlessly to condition the people. Yes, I repeat things also, but my goal is to OPEN people's eyes rather than glue them shut. Here are the most important questions about the war: Do you really believe that we are in a war against al Qaeda and "Radical Islamic Terrorists" in Iraq? ("Al Qaeda in Iraq" popped up well AFTER the invasion. How convenient.) Do you believe that Osama bin Laden is alive and hiding in the mountains of Pakistan? (Bin Laden needed kidney dialysis treatments in 2001. He was in the terminal stages of kidney disease.) Do you believe that Iraq is in a sectarian civil war and our troops are trying to maintain order? Or do you realize that the Iraqis are fighting to take back their lands and their oil? If you're brainwashed you don't realize it. Do you know propaganda when you see it? Turn on the TV and open your eyes. Thursday, February 22, 2007 The British are pulling their meager numbers of troops out of Iraq. No matter. The US war machine is still the biggest money maker in history. The Rothschild banking families own the Federal Reserve and control our economy. War generates huge profits. Our government will withdraw our troops when the bankers TELL them to. (Here's the REAL news) That's also why nobody is DOING anything to stop Global Warming and the added complications from dumping toxic waste into our oceans and from factories spewing toxic greenhouse emissions into our air. Money. Free energy systems have been available for well over a century, but we still use gasoline, coal and oil because there's more money in it. Nobody will do anything about it until half the Human Race has died. The extinction event is already under way. In ten years or less we will see catastrophic events like the Polar Ice Caps crumbling into the ocean and flooding large areas of the continents. Terrible storms on a scale never seen before will be common place. Transportation and power systems will be knocked out. Fuel will be unavailable. Tesla's 1901 Radiant Energy device and Rife's 1930's medical breakthroughs and the countless other suppressed discoveries would save millions of lives, but they are not in use and will not be in use when we need them. All because a room full of stupid, greedy men are addicted to power and money. We could have had the world of Star Trek envisioned by Gene Roddenberry generations ago. Greed, ignorance and lust for power holds us back and threatens our very survival. These maniacs are going to kill us all if we don't stop them. Sunday Night, February 18, 2007 Yes, the Iraqis are indeed using much the same methods to bring down our helicopters as the Vietnamese did. They mass their fire at the aircraft with every thing they've got; small arms fire, heavier machine guns, RPGs and missiles. Oh, did you hear? If you say that American lives are being "wasted" you're disrespecting them and you should be ashamed. I have an idea - bring them HOME so they won't be forced to throw their lives away so bankers and industrialists can get richer and more powerful. Keeping our troops in harm's way to honor the soldiers who have fallen already - who the hell FALLS for that Bush Shiite? "The Mission" simply cannot be won. And no, the "terrorists" will NOT follow us back here and duke it out with us in our backyards. The Iraqi Resistance just wants us OUT so they can pick up the pieces of their shattered country and put their lives back together. That is, the people who are trying to get US out of Iraq are the IRAQIS. Remember, we laid seige to Iraq for 12 years following the first Gulf War, causing misery and death for hundreds of thousands of people, then we invaded and killed thousands more. The people of Iraq are united against us. We are not fighting terrorists or "insurgents." WE are at war with the people of the entire region. And look at a map while you're on the Internet. Iran is sandwiched between Iraq and Afghanistan. Syria is right next to Iraq to the West. The entire region is involved with the war. How do you like the farce that Congress is foisting on us with that "Resolution." Democrats and Republicans alike answer to, and get PAID by, the same people/ The Rothschild banking family that owns and controls the Federal Reserve, which is a privately owned bank. The war will end when the people who make money from it say so. Then some future president will pretend to be making the decisions to withdraw our troops so that no more American lives are wasted in Iraq. He or she will be a big hero. -- All the way to the BANK. Tuesday, February 13, 2007 Dianne Sawyer and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Iran. Staged, cut scene, manufactured Bush Shiite.
President Bush even issued a statement in response to Ms. Sawyer's interview with the president of Syria earlier this month. Is the American News Media a branch of our government? If so, are they in charge of manufacturing and disseminating falsehoods and propaganda or are they defacto diplomats? Take a look at the Ahmadiejad interview. Sawyer seems to be in a different place than Pres. Ahmadinejad - the lighting and video quality are different between face shots of Sawyer and President Ahmadinejad, as if the two were videoed separately. Plus, Ahmadinejad responds seemlessly to Sawyer's English at one point, but you can still see that it's a cut scene. Ahmadinejad has a translator speaking in the background, but we do not see or hear anybody translating Sawyer's English into Farsi. All of this supposedly happened since yesterday. Trips 'about town' sampling the local cuisine, shopping at a iranian rug shop, speaking with Iran's president. A full week's worth of activity in one day. And all of it was ready in time for this morning's ABC "news." The raw video had to be transmitted stateside by internet and/or satellite uplink, then edited, polished and finished, formatted for broadcast and sent into our living rooms. Again, a week of work in just one day. Pay attention to what you see on the news and you might just realize the true extent of the distortions and manufactured lies they feed us. Yeah, Ahmadinejad is painted as a "Holocaust denier" and therefore crazy. If you question the true severity of or truth in general of the Holocaust, you're a nut. Who DOESN'T believe it? Gulf of Tonkin (Started escallation of the Vietnam War) - a total lie. Am I nuts for questioning ("Denying") it? The sinking of the Lusitania, the atrocity that fueled WWI was also "questionable." Wikipedia even writes that the Lusitania was "considered" by the British for use as an "armed" merchant marine vessel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Lusitania Germany was fed intelligence that the ship was indeed carrying munitions before it was sent into a U-Boat infested area. Who DOESN'T question the truth of the Lusitania? Every war-igniting atrocity of the 20th (and 21st?) Century has been questionable and even proven untrue, like the Gulf of Tonkin Incident. People have questioned suspicious aspects of the Pearl Harbor attack that broke the American public's staunch opposition to involvement with the war in Europe. - Just as 911 broke the American people's staunch opposition to war in the Middle East. Key observation posts on the Island of Kauai were ordered to stand down on Pearl Harbor Day, allowing the Japanese to take US "by surprise." The aircraft carriers, essential for the coming Pacific Theater, were out on maneuvers when the Japanese navy struck. The Japanese were hoodwinked and so were the American people. Crazy questions from crazy people? Why does asking questions about the Holocaust draw such strong and rapid attacks? Ahmadinejad allegedly says that the Holocaust was used as an excuse to set up Israel. Israel does indeed persecute and kill the Palestinians and attack their neighbors. Remember the bombing of Lebanon? Israel is an American firebase in the Middle East. The honest Jews who emigrated there were hoodwinked into believing it was a religious homeland. As for Ahmadinejad questioning the Holocaust - given our government's track record of conjuring up lies to start wars and rile us up to support other atrocities, who WOULDN'T question the Holocaust as well? Upstate New York got buried under 11.9 (and more is falling) FEET of snow. Yes, that's almost 12 FEET of snow. Two fathoms. Global Warming doesn't just make things hotter. Combined with pollution and Ozone depletion, it's disrupting the natural weather patterns of the world. Record heat, record cold, record drought, record flooding, record storms. And record snow falls. Our planet's ecosystem is going nuts. Hmmm... Maybe Mother Nature questioned the Holocaust? Congressman John Boehner, a Republican from Ohio, shoveled this pile of propaganda on Meet the Press: "The consequences of failure [in Iraq] are immense; a destabilized Iraq, a safe haven for terrorists, POSSIBLE ACCESS TO THEIR OIL REVENUES, destabilizing the greater Middle East - uh, what happens to Israel?" "Safe Haven for terrorists" - Just a lame excuse to keep our troops there. "possible access to their Oil revenues" - duh, ya think maybe Big Oil is still sore over Saddam kicking them out and NATIONALIZING the oil? Israel has Weapons of Mass Destruction; they have nukes, bio-chemical weapons and the missiles to strike any target in the Middle East, so don't worry too much about Israel. Here's the biggest load of crap Rep Boehner dumped on us: "...and if this isn't bad enough, WHO DOESN'T BELIEVE that if we withdraw and leave that chaos in the Middle East that the terrorists won't follow us here to the United States? "Who DOESN'T believe..." Do you see to method there? He's regurgitating simple minded propaganda and convincing us that everybody believes it, so it must be true. Fighting in Iraq somehow prevents the "terrorists" from coming here? Remember, there were no terrorists in Iraq when the invasion starteed. They were invented later on to keep our troops there, just as the WMD were invented to SEND our troops there. And WHY and HOW would the "terrorists" (Iraqi Resistance Forces) "follow us here"? That's stupid propaganda designed to scare us into supporting the war. Why wouldn't the 'terrorists' just sidestep our battle tanks and bombers and come here anyway? Oh, right, "That's what they did on 911!" 911 was a "Pearl Harbor" event committed by our own government to get us into this war. First they invaded Afghanistan, then they cooked up some blatant lies to invade Iraq. Retailers do that here at home. "Bait and switch." Pearl Harbor in 1941 was ALLOWED to happen in order to get Americans to go along with our involvement with the war in Europe. FDR provoked the Japanese by freezing their assets in American banks and cutting off their oil supply, then, after the enraged American people agreed to "get them damn japs" FDR sent troops and equipment to EUROPE. The Pacific Campaign ramped up later. History repeats. Rather, they just keep using the same con jobs and strategies over and over and we never get wise to it. By the way, there ain't no "civil war" in Iraq. WE invaded them. Who can't perceive that? The Arabs are fighting our invading forces and trying to take their lands back. Blackwater and Crescent Security are two of many "Private Contractors" in Iraq. They constitute a secret army. They are not subject to oversight by our armed services. (They overlook them) Crescent Security is based in Kuwait, so they're not even accountable to United States law at all. They do just about anything they damn well please. That might have something to do with why the Iraqi Resistance Forces um..."dislike" them so much. In Iraq these guys are called "cowboys" They swagger around in the Green Zone packing very large caliber pistols just like cowboys in the Old West. It must be very interesting to encounter one of them as he sits munching a Big Mac in a Green Zone McDonald's or chucking down some pizza and beer in a Green Zone pizzaria. Yes, they have all of that in the American fortress known as the Green Zone. In the middle of a war the US built a walled city indistiguishable from California, complete with fast food restaurants and a friggin' MALL! It's like the Twilight Zone. I wonder just what kinda' mischief these cowboys might be getting into when they go out into RED Zone. As for all those US helicopters that are being shot down - they tell us its because the "insurgents" have "changed their strategy." So what's their new strategy? Telling US won't help the 'ingurgents' because they already KNOW their own strategy. We'll most likely be filled in about what the strategy is. In Vietnam, the insurgents/terrorists/evil doers were called Viet Cong. Their strategy was to flop down and open fire together at American helicopters passing overhead. Massing their small arms fire in this way brought down a lot of Hueys. Wednesday morning, February 7, 2007 $12 Billion in CASH went missing in Iraq. The missing money alone is not the most important aspect of the story, though. Iraq's currency was rendered useless when the government that backed it was smashed by the invasion. Now Iraq is being chained to US currency, which is controlled by the Rothschild banking family. Here's a concise report about our central banking system and how it was hijacked by private bankers: Bank Job This is how the Middle East is really being conquered; by controlling the money. Instead of issuing their own currency backed by their oil wealth, Iraq will now be dependent on the "international bankers." Arab Socialism is being eroded by gaining control of their economy. Years ago I was viciously criticized in the Google newsgroups for speaking out against Bush and the Iraq Invasion and ridiculed and laughed at for even suggesting that Iraq would become a quagmire worse than Vietnam. Now we all know that it is a quagmire. I think we might start hearing even worse news about the mess in Iraq as time goes by. I wonder if we'll ever he told just how BIG this war really is? We are at war with the ENTIRE REGION. And no, there is no "civil war" or multiple squabbles among feuding Iraqi factions. That's just smoke and mirors. Our troops are up against large, well equipped resistance forces. Like the Iraqi Army that is STILL INTACT. They're submitting a resolution that says they don't like the war. That's all the resolution does. It does NOTHING to actually stop the war. Think I might be right about the Democrats and Republicans secretly being in cahoots? They get their money (and their orders) from the same people. Bankers and industry. How about videocard "arch rivals" nVidea and ATI, for example? ATI is now owned by AMD, the chip manufacturer. How about Intel and AMD? They all engage in price fixing. Who controls the STOCK in all these companies? Are they all just ONE umbrella corporation? John D. Rockefeller said, "Competition is sin." I guess that means that our "Two Party" Congress and all the major corporations are a bunch of saints then. Our whole government/corporate/banking structure is rotten and corrupt to the core. She said that our troops were NOT caught in the crossfire between Sunnis and Shiias, but, rather, they were being attacked "...by people who are trying to get us out of the country..." Click Photo for 725KB Video Clip Are our troops and ground commanders too freakin' stupid to stay out of crossfire between OTHER fighting forces? Hardly. Who are these 'people', then? Terrorists? Insurgents? Santa's elves gone bad? Those "people" are the combined military forces of the entire region. The war is much bigger than we're being told. The "people" whose countries we have invaded are fighting to take back their lands. We were never "welcome" as "liberators" or anything else. We are not "helping" Iraq. We blockaded Iraq ("UN Sanctions") for 12 years, causing massive suffering; starvation, disease epidemics from lack of clean water, lack of sanitation, food, medicines and supplies to hospitals as well as electricity. We BOMBED their infrastructure into dust while cutting off imports of vital supplies (Food, Medicine, etc). Then we invaded the region and caused the senseless deaths of thousands more people. We destroyed the value of their currency along with their government. They lost everything; thousands became homeless refugees in their own country. Do you actually believe for one second that we are anything more or less than hated invaders? Those "people who are trying to get us out..." are the people who LIVE there; the people who lost their homes, the people who watched their children die from simple infections because there were no antibiotics left in the hospitals. Damn it, WAKE UP! Our own troops have been tricked into becoming terrorists and invaders! Do you believe that our troops are over there in that meat grinder to "keep us free?" Jesus H. Christ! Wake up and smell the gunsmoke. How many lies will our flunky government tell you before you finally wake up? The war is about money. Follow the money to the top - the bankers and industries - and you'll find the maniacs responsible for ordering our president and our Congress to send OUR sons and daughters to get wounded, mangled and killed. By the way, have you ever seen tornadoes tearing through your neighborhood? Ever see 130MPH winds with no hurricane? 120 degree summer heat waves? 85 degree weather in the winter? Sudden lightning storms as violent and destructive as an artillery barrage? Wait a few more years for the effects of Global Warming to become worse. We have already witnessed examples of "freak weather", like snowstorms with lightning and thunder and abnormally high and low temperatures. We will see far worse in the near future. I wish I was wrong but I know I'm right. We are all on a run away train heading toward an "extinction event." Maybe a few pockets of human beings will survive here and there to repopulate Earth. -- Then maybe do it all over again! I've been saying for quite some time now that Global Warming is HERE and NOW, that we don't have 100 years, 0r even 50. We have about 10 years OR LESS before we see real disasters. Now the media has confirmed it. This past Sunday the McLaughlin Group told us that 70,500 of our troops have become amputees, wounded, severely wounded or mentally ill. I'm an American. I despise the "Two Party System" that only serves to divide and confuse us. Ultimately, both the Democrats and Republicans work for the same people. No, not US. ABC in New York aired footage of a reporter, Chris Cuomo, in Iraq with Iraqi children at a US health care center that also has a PLAYGROUND. Why is this important? (Check out my Rant from November 10, 2006) It purportedly shows Al-Qaeda terrorists at a training camp. Bush Shiite. It's the SAME PLAYGROUND, and the "terrorists" are CHILDREN who are wearing US military camo, probably because their own clothing was tattered and filthy. Look at the background. Watch both videos carefully. Can we believe ANYTHING they tell us in the news? They also tell us over 3000 American soldiers have been killed so far and another 70,500+ wounded. Can we believe those numbers? Some 50,000+ American soldiers died in Vietnam. Probably as many as one half or more of them would have survived if they had had today's body armor and field medicine. That's not really a blessing. When a GI's family has to wash, feed and clothe a severely paralyzed/brain damaged family member for the rest of their life, what good is body armor and improved field medicine? A bunch of other stuff was reported in the news. Some of it may or may not have happened. Frankly, I'm disgusted. Maybe tomorrow I'll comment more on "current [non] events." Saturday Night, January 27, 2007 Bush tells us the "War On Terror" will take GENERATIONS to win. Just as in Orwell's "1984" we are in a perpetual state of war. Our military is lowering standards for recruits and raising the maximum age to 42. You know the old adage about computer programming, "Crap in, crap out." What next? Military duty as an alternative to prison time? Don't laugh, its possible. Convicted felons might be offered the chance to "Serve their country" instead of serving time. Where else in the world will "terrorist havens" be found as the ranks of our military swell with the dregs of our society? Increase the size of our armed forces by 92,000. That REALLY means 130,000 to 200,000 or MORE. The DRAFT might be reinstated. A civilian support corps of some type. That would make the Motor Pool and most administrative/record keeping, and other NON COMBAT roles manned by non military personnel. More soldiers would be available to fight. If we "take the war to the terrorists" elsewhere in the Middle East, Africa or whatever other place vital to "American (That is, bankers and industry) Intere$t$" there will be many more soldiers available to fight and lose limbs or life. If you join the military now, don't count on staying "in the rear with the gear" or working in non combat roles like automotive or aircraft repair. Join the Army and you WILL see combat. No ifs, ands or buts. President Bush also called for decreasing our gasoline consumption by 20% over the next what - 5, 10 years? Oh, yeah, that's a revolutionary change. And it probably won't happen. Just like this promise about fuel cells Mr. Bush made in 2002 "....to put family-size sedans that get 80 miles per gallon into showrooms by 2004."

Monday, January 15, 2007 Martin Luther King Day Martin Luther King Jr. was murdered on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, effectively derailing a social movement that could have ended most racism in America and given us true racial equality well before now, as I write this. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did not instigate unruly, bottle-throwing mobs to march through the streets shouting "No justice, no peace!" He did not perpetuate racial hatred or incite people to violence. He was a man of peace and he died a violent death. Why do so many men of peace die violently? J. Was he brow beaten into pleading guilty? Recanting confessions shortly after making them is consistent with abreaction, or overcoming post hypnotic and/or brainwashing - conditioning like when you spend the night surrounded by detectives or Federal Agents working in shifts bullying and badgering you. How many times have we seen this happen in recent "terror" convictions? There were numerous suspicious elements surrounding the shooting, including the trajectory of the rifle bullet. The flop house bathroom window was too high to produce the steep angle the bullet took through the murdered civil rights leader's body. The shot came from much further down, maybe from a sniper's nest in the bushes. Dexter King believed Ray when he said he didn't kill his father. So did the rest of the King family. Late Sunday night, January 14, 2007 I heard saw an archival video clip on Meet the Press this morning of President Bush saying that he would NOT increase troops in Iraq because that would only "encourage" the insurgents and send a message that we would be staying there forever. The lying bastard said that around election time. In early December of 2006 we were told that although troops would not be withdrawn, their role would switch from combat to training and advising the "new" Iraqi army so they could take care of their own country. All we get from our government is LIES! Then Bush hits us with the bombshell announcement that more troops will be sent in and existing troops would have their deployments extended. An exhausted soldier can't think or react very quickly. Exhausted soldiers tend to become dead soldiers real quick. During the Vietnam War they had "secret" wars going on in Laos and Cambodia. Bush said that alleged plans to start fighting Iran are "an urban legend", yet during his speech of 1/10/07 US troops raided an "Iranian outpost in Northern Iraq", according to ABC News.  1.05MB ABC News Video But WAIT - It was also reported that another US raid on an airport was BLOCKED by Kurdish forces! As many as half of those wounded American soldiers would have died in Vietnam. Advances in field medicine and body armor are keeping many of our troops alive who would have surely died 40 years ago. Body armor only protects the chest and torso. Legs, arms and faces can still be destroyed and they very often are. Head injuries have sent thousands of our kids home with brain damage so severe that they need total custodial care for the rest of their lives. So what is the REAL cost of this war in terms of shattered lives and hardship for the "surviviors'" families? Just like Vietnam. In the North West they got pounded by hurricane force winds and record rain. Here in New York, we set a record with 25 straight days of above normal temperatures. No snow at all in December for the first time since 1891 and only a "light dusting" in December, 2001 GLOBAL WARMING will reach the point where it will start to acellerate like a bowling ball rolling down a steep hill. That 'breaking point' might happen sooner than even the "in-the-know" climatologists expect. "It's not nice to fool with Mother Nature."
Flowers are blooming and cherry blossoms are opening in Washington, DC. The grass in the New York City area is still green and growing. This weather is not to be celebrated. They're lying to us and using American and Arab blood to make money. We will pull out eventually, after making behind the scenes Oil and trade deals, just as in Vietnam. Wait. You'll see. The UN would not OK the invasion, so President Bush called the UN "Irrelevant" and charged on into Iraq. How many of us remember that? Then the WMD story turned out to be "faulty intelligence." I Emailed it to him but his WIFE snooped and found it. I had to send her a truck full of the ORIGINAL photos that were made in Prague. The white surface of the Polar ice reflects solar heat back into space. As the ice keeps disappearing, more and more heat is absorbed by the dark ocean water, acellerating the process. Reporter Leslie Stall questioned Madeline Albright about that. Albright responded, "We think the price is worth it." But it was all Saddam's fault because he wouldn't give up his Weapons of Mass Destruction. Nobody in the American media ever called Bush Sr. or Albright "monsters." Saddam Hussein was (is??) a Sunni Moslem, while the majority of Iraqis are Shiia. He joined the Ba'athist Party, based on Arab Socialism, and swept away the tyranny of the Royal Family to establish a secular state. Literacy rates rose dramatically; 55% for men, 45% for women. And those are just the "official" numbers we were told about here. Women had more rights than ever before. Women could wear Western style clothing, MAKEUP, and rise to positions in government. Unheard of in the rest of the Arab world. Women doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. Saddam allowed the Iraqi people the unrestricted right to keep and bear arms. AK47 military rifles! Why didn't the heavily armed Iraqi people rise up and throw off the "Butcher of Baghdad"? Saddam and his army were vastly outnumbered by an armed citizenry, most of them Shiite! At first an ally of the United States, Saddam went from "Liberator" to "Tyrant" when he fell out of favor with the US government. He NATIONALIZED the oil facilities. Exxon, Mobil and all the other members of the international Oil Cabal were out in the cold. Being a Socialist state, the Iraqi people owned the oil. Iraqis became more prosperous than they had been in centuries. Public (infrastructure) works included that dam for hydroelectric power that our media is demonizing Hussein for. "He displaced thousands of Iraqis...etc." Now he's a (dead) monster. In fact, our TV news has interviews with people that begin with words like, "Remind us once again what a monster Saddam was."
