Friday Morning, September 29, 2006 President Bush this morning is "hailing" last nights Senate passage of a Bill that reinterprets the Geneva Conventions. They can sugar coat it all they want with phrases like "prohibits the severe abuse of detainees" but it also gives the president "leeway to decide which OTHER interrogation techniques are permissible." Military commissions will be set up to prosecute terror suspects. Didn't we just recently hear about an innocent man that was apprehended for being a "suspected terrorist" and shipped off to Syria where he was tortured into signing a stack of false confessions? - He was photographed having a brief conversation in the street with a "Terror Suspect". They even had the poor shmuck confess to being a trained al-Qaeda terrorist. It was finally found out that he had never stepped foot in Pakistan, Afghanistan or any other 'stan. Get this straight, boys and girls - if you are suspected of being involved with terrorism you can be 'judged' by a military commission and subjected to "which other interrogation techniques" the president thinks are OK. Military commissions tend to loosely interpret the Bill of Rights. When standing before a military tribunal - I mean, 'commission', you do not have Due Process rights or any other rights unless the inquisitors decide to let you have them. If you are photographed speaking to a "Suspected Terrorist" on the street you can be taken into custody and subjected to "which other interrogation techniques are permissible." "Excuse me, sir, can you direct me to Mott Street? "Let me show you my map. Here, see this marked spot? Which is the best way to get there from here? Do I go THIS way or THAT way? "Oh, I see what you mean. Just go around that way, turn left here and its right there." You've just been photographed 100 times by FBI Agents with telephoto lenses having an animated conversation with a "Known Terrorist." You even used a MAP to direct him to commit acts of terror. Or what if a 'terror suspect' "accidentally" bumps into you on a busy street? A few seconds of apologies, gesturing and "forget about its" can be photographed and used against you in a Court of La - oh, wait, silly me. Military commissions are not Courts of Law. You have no Constitutional rights there. But, hey, this new legislation won't be MISUSED to go after innocent people. Naaah, they won't use this new "Anti-Terror Tool" to intimidate and eliminate political opposition and Free Speech. After all, "That can't happen HERE. Just ask the poor bastard who got shipped off to Syria and "interrogated" into confessing he was Osama's best buddy. If we let this crap continue we will have an Orwellian fascist state before we realize what happened. OK, don't listen. "It can't happen here". Late Thursday Night, September 28, 2006 A videotape taken by a Halliburton employee surfaced in the news. It was taken a year ago(?) and shows the military escort abandoning the Haliburton convoy. Halliburton workers were murdered by insurgents as a result. The families were told by Haliburton that their loved ones had died instantly in a roadside bombing. The guy with the video cam was in truck 5, the shooting victims were in truck 3 and truck 1 had turned over after getting shot up. OK, this guy is presumably looking at the scene of the murders but where IS everybody? Can you see any gunmen, muzzle flashes or any activity at all? It smells fishy to me. Since the 'insurgents' had just witnessed the armored Humvees scooting off and abandoning the convoy, don't you think they would have lingered long enough to find and kill the cameraman? President Bush's approval rating is dropping like Dick Cheney's hunting partners. So what? Why would he care? He can't run for president again and we're stuck with him until his term runs out. Then some other bought and paid for figurehead will take his place. Presidents are just cardboard cut-outs with bankers and oil companies hiding behind them. Who cares if the Democrats or the Republicans control Congress? The Congress doesn't even have the power guaranteed by the Constitution to issue our money or control its value. Tuesday morning, September 26, 2006 Well, a bunch of generals got together and announced that they want to increase the size of our army by 60,000 or so. Do you think they're gearing up to expand the Mid East War(s) into Iran? Maybe they want to invade Venezuela. Some US Military Intelligence 'spook' might fire a few missiles at an American installation or even an American city from a helicopter with Venezuelan markings. We will all be outraged and demand 'retaliation'. Maybe they need to replace our own diminishing troops who keep coming home minus an arm or leg. Maybe they underestimated the resolve of the Iraqi Resistance Fighters who stubbornly refuse to give up their lands (and oil) without a fight. DON'T LET YOUR KIDS GO TO WAR! They are NOT "fighting to keep us free." They are being used as 'expendable assets' by the bankers and oil companies to commit an atrocity against the Arab peoples and steal their oil. THE DRAFT WILL BE REINSTATED. If that happens, tell your sons and daughters to become "Conscientious Objectors" Challenge the legality and the legitimacy of the war. "Mr. President, are we REALLY fighting terrorists in Iraq or are we just eliminating resistance and stealing their oil?" "Are we REALLY the 'Good Guys' or are our sons and daughters being fooled into committing crimes against humanity?" All this talk about the Bush Administration not doing enough to get Osama bin Laden is a red herring. Bin Laden DIED in late 2001 from kidney disease. Osama is just an icon; pictures of the black-bearded Osama have eclipsed those of the gray-haired, sickly Osama we used to see far more often. You may think I'm crazy now, but years from now it will (hopefully) be revealed that the "War on Terror" is just a lie and a pretext to get us to support mass murder so the oil and banking industries can make more money. In 2003 I 'ranted and raved' on the Google newsgroups that the Weapons of Mass Destruction were a lie and that Iraq would become a quagmire worse than Vietnam. People made fun of me. Until now. Our government might even begin limiting "Free Speech" and legislate against "Inflammatory Speech" or "Anti-American Speech." I'll be going to jail if that happens. Speaking out against our government would become illegal. Eventually the Constitution might be suspended altogether. All it takes is one more "911" to get us to go along with it. By the way, Hugo Chavez spoke the truth about 911 OUR OWN GOVERNMENT DID IT as a pretext for war. And they might do it again. Call me crazy all you want. I know I'm right. Sunday Night, September 24, 2006 President Ahmadinejad of Iran questions the Holocaust and has urged that unbiased, honest investigations be made into it. So we're all supposed to believe that he's a crazy, stupid fool. Only in America do crazy stupid fools get to be president. And only if they're rich. Gabe Pressman wrote this in the NY Daily News. He slams Ahmadinejad for his ignorance and dementia. Sunday, September 24, 2006 Hugo Chavez of Venezuela told it like it is. Our own government committed the atrocity of 911 as a pretext for war.  Click here for the full news article The newspaper article calls his "rant" "the most obscene 911 conpiracy theory" - "Conspiracy Theory" are code words hard-wired into our brains by the mass media. Words like 'Conspiracy Theory' instantly discredit the message, caste doubt upon the sanity of the messenger and make us laugh at it. "Conspiracy Theory" pushes our "Idiot Button" and makes us accept the official version of the story. Hugo Chavez was accused of spewing "nonstop hate" and being big on "the Big Lie." The "Big Lie" is that the Taliban brought down three NYC skyscrapers with two airplanes on 911. I don't know if Chavez' government really is oppressive or not. I've never been to Venezuela, nor have you, so they can tell us anything they want on TV and in the newspapers. How can we verify any of it? Some jackass on TV claiming to have been 'politically persecuted' in a country targeted by our government holds as much water as a bottomless bucket. Yet people believe what they see in the media anyway. Iran is a 'brutal dictatorship'. Iraq was a 'brutal dictatorship' until we bombed the crap out of them and made them "free." Venezuela is a 'brutal dictatorship'. North Korea is a 'brutal dictatorship' as well as Cuba, etc, etc, etc. Do you see a pattern here? Every time the international bankers, the oil companies and other industries want to rob another country of their resources, our media first convinces us that the target countries are "hateful, anti-American, brutal dictatorships" and they pose a danger to America and their own "neighborhood." We're just "advancing Freedom And Democracy" by dropping bombs on them and destroying their cities and their infrastructure. Arab Socialism is perhaps the prime target in the "War on Terror." Those fanatical Moslem governments actually SHARE the oil wealth with their people and deny the bankers and oil cartel their unfair share of the profits. Until we drop bombs on them and destroy everything. Our bombs and the resulting starvation, shortages of medical supplies and disease epidemics from impure water supplies kill many thousands of innocent people who are being brought 'the gift of freedom'. They'll thank us for it. honest. It's frightening to see how easily most of my fellow Americans can be brainwashed, tricked and hoodwinked. Oh, yeah, I think New York refused Chavez' offer for cheap heating oil because he "bashed our country." Rep. Charlse Rangel (D, NY) railed against Chavez for bad mouthing our president and our country. Let's see how well that goes over with all the poverty stricken New Yorkers who have to pay a fortune to stay warm this winter. When landlords pay more money for oil and other utilities they pass the expense on to their tenants in the form of increased rent, decreased repairs and services and other cost trimming strategies. No matter what, the people who live in those buildings suffer. So, Congressman Rangel, are YOU going to pay all those heating bills this winter? Will you get the greedy oil companies to match Chavez' offer to give poor people in New York a break with their heating bills? Or maybe Global Warming will give us a mild or even Spring-like winter. Shame on you, Mr. Rangel. You served in the Korean War, yet you don't have the cajones to tell your constituents that Hugo Chavez spoke the truth. Your political career would be over if you did something stupid like SPEAK THE TRUTH, but at least you would have your honor and integrity intact. Mr Rangel, you above all others should know that some things are more important than living a comfortable life, or even life itself. Friday Morning, September 22, 2006 Al Gore badgered British billinaire Sir Richard Branson to join his cause and fight Global Warming.  (Sorry, no video. Just a photograph) Branson will provide 3 Billion dollars over the next 10 years to "fight the oil companies" and bring clean, alternaive fuels into common use. Well, this ain't gonna work unless Al and Richard light a fire under our collective ass and start a grass roots movement to ban the gas pumps and use things like vegetable oil to run our cars and heat our homes. $3 Billion over 10 years is just not enough to fight the oil companies. WE have to battle so that the children of today will have a planet when they grow up. Are we too lazy to save our own planet? Solution: Let Exxon and the others provide oil for even LESS money to poverty-stricken Americans. Or are they too damned greedy to care if America looks bad? Oh, yeah, now that the Winter Blend of gasoline is hitting the market, expect the price per gallon to rise again. They only lowered the price to unload all the Summer Blend gas they had left. Thursday Morning, September 21, 2006 Hugo Chavez of Venezuela will most likely continue to supply affordable heating oil to poor Americans in New York, even though he cut short his tour of Harlem. Well, after calling President Bush "The Devil" he might have felt a little uncomfortable sticking around too long. Personally, I'm offended by Chavez calling Bush the Devil. Bush is too damn stupid to be the Devil. He just works for the Devil. And who is the "Devil" in this case? "Follow the money." The International Bankers are "the Devil" here. They own our central banking system - the Federal Reserve, or FED - and they issue our money. Yes, the Federal Reserve Board(Bank) is a PRIVATE corporation. Don't believe me? He wants to reinterpret the Geneva Conventions because they're "too vague." The "Good Guys" don't torture confessions, either real or coerced, out of people. How can we claim the moral high ground while our government tells us we're condoning despicable behavior? Oh, yeah, "waterboarding" and sleep deprivation are TORTURE. Wednesday Night, September 13, 2006 Gas prices dropped 42 cents in the last 3 weeks - a 10 year record drop. Gas is as low as $203.00 per gallon now! The official reasons for it are the slow US economy, the surprisingly mild hurricane season, the fact that the Alaskan pipeline break wasn't as bad as first suspected and Iran is not using oil as a weapon after all. Wouldn't a "slow economy" tend to inflate prices? If Iran decided to "use oil as a weapon" (in addition to Arab Socialism) that would mean they decided they want American bombs to fall on their cities sooner rather than later. The "winter blend" of gas is due to start being pumped later this month. The summer blend has a lot of ethanol in it and is designed to be less polluting. The winter blend is designed to work better in colder weather. OK, let's figure this one out together... The oil companies have a surplus of unsold summer blend gas and soon they'll have to switch to their winter blend. Maybe they need to get rid of the left-over summer blend while they still can? Maybe the summer gas price hike was just greedy price gouging and not a result of any other economic conditions or foreign events? Gee, ya think maybe gas price might start creeping back up into your wallet when the winter blend starts flowing? If you listen, even to the slanted propaganda drek that passes as news, snip out the relevant information and put it together like the puzzle it is, you can often extract the truth from our news media. Tuesday, September 12, 2006 An "elaborate plot" by "the terrorists" to attack the US Embassy in Syria was foiled. *yawn* Is anybody else getting sick of all these "foiled just in time" plots? It's just BS, boys and girls. They're making these stories up and we BELIEVE them! Three guys supposedly stormed the place with assault rifles, grenades and a van loaded with pipe bombs and propane tanks. They lobbed a few grenades over the wall but could not breach the gate with their car bomb. They were killed by Syrian security forces guarding the Embassy. Then a third militant pulled up a van full explosives at the rear of the compound but was shot in the legs before he could detonate it. Horse shit. This story has changed several times since this morning. The first reports had three guys with a van full of pipe bombs and propane tanks that failed to detonate for some reason. They lobbed grenades and fired automatic rifles. To be fair, stories do evolve as more facts become available. Al-Qaeda is suspected. Listen, al-Qaeda does not exist and bin Laden died 5 years ago. So we have a dead man running a non-existent terrorist organization sending evil doers to do evil. President Bush said, "We're fighting an enemy that is determined to bring suffering and death into our homes." He's also been saing that if we don't "complete the mission" in Iraq the "terrorists will follow us here." OK What exactly IS terrorism and WHO is using it on us? Does the thought of an invisible boogeyman bringing suffering and death into your home scare you? Does it make you want our government to fight the terrorists and protect us from Osama? Hmmm... Who is BENEFITTING from this "terrorism?" You and I aren't. The Iraqis and Afghanis aren't. The oil cartel gets the oil, the bankers get more money and thousands more Arabs die, as well as our young soldiers who get thrown into the meatgrinder of the Middle East. Are you SURE you know who the "terrorists" are and how they benefit from it? Oh, remember to report you next door neighbor for having too many bottles of hydrogen peroxide in his medicine cabinet. Are we at "Level Orange" again? Monday morning, September 11, 2006 Five years ago 3000 Americans were murdered by madmen. Osama bin Laden was NOT one of them. Those three WTC buildings were rigged with demolition charges to bring them down as neatly as possible. Our own government did it on orders from the International Bankers and Oil industry to take the oil from the Mid East Socialists who were SHARING the wealth with their PEOPLE. By the way, if the media considers this day so sacred, why don't they SUSPEND those commercials for just one day and show some RESPECT for the 3000 people who died that day? "We'll be right back." At least they read all the names of the victims with no commercial inerruptions. Sunday, September 10, 2006 Tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center. Why was the WTC destroyed? Who did it? Who REALLY did it? Why? Did carefully placed demolition EXPLOSIVES actually bring down those buildings? None of the steel was protected with the thermal insulation that is commonly used in office buildings, including the WTC. To my mind, this is definitive answer: the maximum temperature in the unprotected steel supports in those test fires was 360 degrees C (680 F), and that is a long way from the first critical threshold in structural steel, 550 degrees C (1022 F). Some may argue that there was much more fuel involved in the WTC events that in a car park. There was also much more steel involved, the support columns were more massive, and they were protected with insulation. I think the case is made: The fire did not weaken the WTC structure sufficiently to cause the collapse of the towers. — J. (It's impossible for EVERYONE to have a good Labor Day) Our Fearless Leader is still lying though multiple orifices about the "War on Terror" and how important Iraq is to winning that war. Iraq is the second largest producer of oil in the world. That's why our troops are there. Our soldiers are being ordered to act like murdering thugs and all the "mil speak" robot jargon in the world ain't gonna make it sit right in every soldier's mind. Why do you think so many kids are coming home with psychological discharges? Sure, they make an example of a few Marines who went on a shooting spree, but the murder of innocent people is Standard Operating Procedure. They bust in a door and grab the father of an Iraqi family. They ask him where the weapons are, where the "insurgents" are. When he doesn't give a satisfactory answer, they shoot one of his children in the head. Then another. And another. If the poor bastard really doesn't know anything, he's SOL. The Israelis are just as bad if not worse. They've been kidnapping, torturing and murdering Palestinian and Lebanese men, women and children for decades. The International Bankers and the Oil Cartel weren't getting their full slice of the pie, so a "Phantom Manace" was created to scare us all into allowing this mass murder to happen. Saturday, September 2, 2006 Ernesto is kaput. It dropped some record rainfall down South and it's still causing some rain up here in the North East. Hurricane John in the West is dying out, too. It hit Baja pretty hard but its not expected to reach the US. 16 or so more people were arrested in England for trying to recruit terrorists. Castro's health seems to to be improving. Hey, the guy is 80, for God's sake. We all know he'll die soon and leave his brother in charge. Maybe one or more of his children will eventually take over. Our troops are still in combat with Iraqi Resistance Fighters - oh, I mean "terrorists who hate freedom." Iraq was not accused in any way with the attack on the World Trade Center but now our president tells us that Iraq is home to al-Qaeda and all the terrorists in the world are united against us in their "twisted view of Islam." BOVINE EXCREMENT! I know, I'm getting annoying by repeating this, but watch this excerpt from our president's August 21 speech (again):  703KB Video CLICK HERE Iraq had "NUTHIN" to do with 911 but now al-Qaeda is plotting our destruction from their secret hiding places in that war-torn country. Weren't we told just recently that al-Qaeda is just one of 14 major groups in the "International Terror Movement?" Al-Qaeda only accounts for 5% of the total terror (so we were told). So now al-Qaeda is being presented as the big bad boogeyman again? Please PAY ATTENTION to what you read in the newspapers and hear on the radio and TV. Maybe you could jot down a note (with the date) now and then, like "News sez al-Qaeda only minor player." In my Wednesday, July 12, 2006 Rant I reported what was in the mainstrean news: "Al-Qaeda is being pushed into the sidelines, minimized, just another "minor player" on the terrorist scene. Al-Qaeda is being retired as the main bogeyman and being replaced by a many-headed Hydra monster that can never be routed out. Wrestling with an octopus who's tentacles grow back as fast as you chop them off. Do you see the trend developing here? Destroying al-Qaeda will no longer hurt "The Terrorists." Suddenly we have "at least 14 terrorist groups" and al-Qaeda only accounts for 5% of the total terrorism." If we don't pay attention "they" can tell us one thing this week and the opposite thing next week. Just like in "1984." Old, 'ungood' news goes down the memory hole to be replaced by another story. The ocean water is unusually warm (Global Warming?) and Ernesto is unusually unpredictable. Lay in a good supply of bottled water and canned goods just in case. Emergency generators and Propane stoves aren't a bad idea either. A shotgun might come in handy, too. Remember Katrina? Bush is (still) lying like a rug about Iraq, al-Qaeda and the "War on Terror." So many kids are coming home missing limbs or with brain damage they're running out of soldiers to replace them. If and when Uncle Sam reinstates the draft we can expect protests that will make the unrest of the Vietnam era look like a dress rehearsal. Too bad the media doesn't report as much actual fact now as they did in the 1960's. A protest of 20,000 people today is given minimal coverage and made to look like just a few malcontent nutjobs. Associated Press Updated: 3:47 p.m. ET Aug. 22, 2006 WASHINGTON - The U.S. Marine Corps said Tuesday it has been authorized to recall thousands of Marines to active duty, primarily because of a shortage of volunteers for duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Up to 2,500 Marines will be brought back at any one time, but there is no cap on the total number of Marines who may be forced back into service in the coming years as the military battles the war on terror. The call-ups will begin in the next several months. This is the first time the Marines have had to use the involuntary recall since the early days of the Iraq combat. The Army has ordered back about 14,000 soldiers since the start of the war. Ernesto lost its punch, thankfully, but now we have Hurricane John working its way up to our Western shores. John was a category 3 hurricane last time I checked. And once again, hurricane season is not over yet and the ocean waters off our Southern and Eastern shores are still unusually warm. I'm not wishing for it to happen, but a serious hurricane is still very possible here in the North East. Global Warming is causing it. Burning oil, coal and gasoline is causing Global Warming. Wednesday Morning, August 30, 2006 Looks like Ernesto fizzled out. I'm glad we're not looking at another disaster. Keep in mind though that our waters are still very warm and hurricane season is not over yet. Global warming will bring us more wild, destructive weather in the coming years as well. It looks even more like our government might be planning action against Iran or maybe Iran is just another entertaining distraction (misdirection?).  Newspaper Caricature CLICK HERE Monday Morning, August 28, 2006 I was wrong about the ocean temperatures off our shores. It's more like 86 degrees, not 88. Still, all you need is 80 degrees to feed a hurricane. 86 degrees is still a LOT of food. Also, I've heard that having plenty lot of calcium in your diet can prevent cancer. The reasoning is that calcium makes your blood/tissues more alkaline and cancer cannot grow in an alkaline environment. - Just a tip to try and help. |
