The 12/15/05 ABC report on the Iraqi election saw Elizabeth Vargas accomplish two weeks worth of activity in one day. She was in a helicopter, she was on land in a half-dozen or so locations, AND she had numerous wardrobe changes.
It was a slick production quilted together in no less than a full week or two with a lot of unrelated footage - made who knows when - spliced in. We are to believe it all happened in one day.
Most of us do, because we don't pay attention.

The entire Vargas series is probably just clips taken from the two-week shoot, clipped, spliced, rearranged and served up on a bed of natural brown BS.

As I've said before on this Website, any jackass can wear a rag mask and wave a rifle at a camera.

The Fake [angry] crowd ruse:
Notice how there are rarely more than 20 people in the propaganda videos at one time and that the camera focuses in tight on them to give an illusion of greater numbers?
Who the hell are these gun-waving clowns?
The media tells us they're "al-Qaeda in Iraq" and they show us the video to prove it.
This video only proves that a handful of mask-wearing fools made a video.

Again, WHEN and WHERE were these video made? WHO are the people in the videos?
Just because you see a meaningless video and some newscaster tells you what to believe, it doesn't mean that the video is authentic or that the newsperson is telling you the truth.

OK, now THIS one is asinine.
(The "Inept Third Worlder" ploy. We're smart, they're dumb.)
In a country where Saddam Hussein allowed every citizen to own military rifles, why are these men so inept with firearms?
Why are they standing ten feet away from the targets??
In the scene where Iraqis were firing their rifles, they were definately aiming at
much more distant, but unseen (in the video) targets.

How many of you know what a 7.62mm AK47 Battle Rifle rifle slug does when it hits dry, dusty dirt?
I'll tell you.
The impact is so incredible that a 20 to 30 foot spray of dirt erupts like an explosion.
The dust clouds behind the targets were far too small to be caused by 7.62 rifle bullets.
A thrown rock, maybe, but NOT a battle rifle slug.
(7.62mm is a Battle Rifle, The M16, chambered for 5.56mm (.223 cal) is an Assault Rifle.)

The report covered the "Elite [Iraqi] Wolf Brigade," made up mostly of former elite Iraqi commandos, yet moments later Elizabeth Vargas told us how American forces have to teach them "the most basic" principles of warfare.
Uhhh, right...

This short segment taken from the ABC report purported to show how poor Iraqi marksmanship is. ("Inept Third-Worlders.")
What it really shows is how poor a job the media propaganda manufacturers do, even in the slick, elaborate [fake] production aired on ABC December 13, 2005.
But it doesn't have to be good.
Most Americans just "zone out" as the images flash by and totally accept the words the news reporters drone at us without question.

These men would need to wear goggles to avoid eye injuries.
Bullets are MUCH more destructive and powerful than most people realize.
I have fired rifles and pistols many times. When I was a boy I was out in a dry, dusty field one summer day and I shot a .22 rifle at the dry dirt [10 feet?] in front of me only to be showered in a chocking, blinding explosion of dust and small rocks.
I never repeated that mistake.
Had I fired an AK47 round I would have injured my shoulder and permanently blinded myself.

Ask any sportsman/hunter about how much energy a bullet delivers.

Media propaganda appeals to our vanity and lack of knowledge.
"We're smart, they're not," "They're sub-human, we're the world's policeman."

Those ignorant Third-Worlders (who invented the Zero and our numeral system)
can't even hit a target more than ten feet away. (They grew up firing rifles.)

We like to think that Americans are superior to everyone else and that Third-World countries need us because they're too ignorant and incompetant to handle things without our help.

The videos we are being shown "from Iraq" are fakes.
We are not welcome in Iraq. Our military BOMBED AND INVADED Iraq.
We are fighting an active war in Iraq against [Iraqi Patriot] resistence fighters (i.e. "insurgents/terrorists") who are trying to take their country back from US.
They seem to shoot pretty good, too, y'all.

Our troops are hunkered down in fortified positions in strategic positions.
Troops venture out to patrol.
I wonder how many of our troops are having "accidents" to go to the infirmary and avoid going on patrol?

The Green Zone is a very large fortified area the size of a small city in central iraq.
Baghdad is inside the Green Zone.

The Green Zone is the largest fortified area held by the US in Iraq.

Bush recently said that about 30,000 Iraqi citizens died "during the original incursion and during the continuing violence against the Iraqi people.

WRONG
600,000 Iraqi children alone died of disease and starvation during the "sanctions" (blockade) after the first Gulf War and most likely HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS more innocent men, women and children died during the "initial incursion" (remember the 'Shock and Awe' bombardment?) and the "continued violence" of food and medicine shortages, lack of drinkable water and the disease epidemics that resulted.
Iraq is NOT the "happy place" we are being lulled into believing.
The "elections" are a sham.
The new Iraqi "prosperity" is a a lie.
"Opinion Polls" from Iraq are DAMN lies.

News videos are mostly fake footage made by propaganda movie makers with clips of "authentic" but unrelated footage slipped in to make it look more "real."

As real as Hollywood film fantasies, that is.

The continuing presense of our military is causing continuing misery and death for the people of the once sovereign nation of Iraq.

WE are the ones who are ignorant. We have a lot to learn.
And I hope that we learn it in time.
